Welcome!
At First Baptist Church of Belen we think church should be enjoyable and meaningful for the whole
family! That's why we're inviting you to join your friends and neighbors for practical, biblically sound
sermons by our pastor Dr. Bruce Baker.
The first time you walk in the door, you'll feel right at home with people just like
you. Come as you are to experience our friendly fellowship. You will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the upbeat music.
Let FBC Belen help you in your spiritual journey. We will pray with, encourage you with the Word of God and help you to move closer to God in your daily life.

Don’t Worry, Be Ready! Jesus gives us this clear simple message in Matthew 24:1-14. Do not be deceived by false teachings and false Messiahs. God has given us a clear word about the certainty of Jesus’ return and the uncertainty of the day and hour. Jesus goes on to warn believers not to be alarmed and depressed by the circumstances of our day. Wars, earthquakes, and terrible disasters are just the hem of the garment. They will actually characterize the entire age.
Here’s Your Sign. My next message will deal with an overview one of the most popular views of the Second Coming; dispensational, pre-millennialism. This view is the basis for Dr. Tim LaHaye’s wildly successful series, Left Behind, and identifies a Rapture, seven year tribulation, the full Second Coming of Jesus and a 1000 year millennial reign. I hope to explain the biblical basis for this view as well as encourage believers for biblical readiness in daily life.
What About All The Different Views? With only four messages left in our series, I will not be able to cover every variation of every view in detail. The Meaning of the Millennium, by Robert Clouse is an excellent overview of Pre, Post, Historical and Amillennial views. Three Views of The Rapture by Paul D. Feinberg is another excellent book that will help you evaluate the biblical materials. I have posted these titles and more on the church website. Look Here.
Blessings,
Pastor Bruce
